Our vile week!

Wow, it has been a fantastic week of blood, bones and gory bits! Nearly everything we do at least someone goes bleurgh! Class 4D are having so much fun! On Tuesday, we did a bit more learning about the heart. We know it pumps oxygenated blood to the muscles and the muscles use it to do their work. They send back old deoxygenated blood and the heart sends it to the lungs for more oxygen. We found out that the heart has four chambers called the left atrium, the left ventricle, the right atrium and the right ventricle. Then we had literacy and practised how to join two sentences which we called a sandwich sentence, and make some posh sentences with commas. On Wednesday morning we had some literacy homework and then we did our first blog. In the afternoon, we demonstrated the digestive system and made lovely poo!!! We used weetabix, coke and bananas. It was so much fun, we loved it, some people thought it was a bit ickey! Were we supposed to eat it? Well, I'm going to tell you the disgusting and horrid truth - E.G and J decided to eat some of the disgusting poo! Eurgh!!!!!!

Then we made a song and dance about the digestive system in groups and performed it to the class, and five lucky boys got to perform it to Mrs Pitt and Mr Rothwell. We have learnt vocabulary words like acid, absorb, bile and contract. We know the small intestine absorbs good nutrients and the big intestine absorbs water out. On Thursday morning, Forest School Group B went out to make snow figures, whilst they were doing that Group A went to the library to change their books and they did guided reading.
