Food, glorious food...

Hello again!
Do you want to know what we've been getting up to?!!

Last Wednesday, we all made spicy tacos for Mexican day.  Some people burnt their mouths, like they were on fire!  This is what some tacos contained:  cheese, tomato, peppers, onions, lettuce, cucumber, lime juice, spring onions, black beans, mexican spice, tomato salsa and some fresh corriander too.  Wow!  They were scrumptious!

Are you going to fit it all in your mouth?!!

On Thursday, in maths, some of us did division problems and in Forest School we made bread with different toppings including jam, gold syrup and normal syrup.  Then in the afternoon, the thing we had been waiting all week for finally came - the whole of Year 4 visited Peachy Keens, the restaurant, to sample foods from around the world.  It was THE BEST!!  We got to see some food being cooked too! We tried foods from Thailand, Italy, India, China, Mexico and Japan.

Check out the chocolate fountain.  Don't you wish you could have some?

Looking forward to getting some food, waiting patiently.

The chefs and staff came outside for a photo with all of us, at the end.  Say 'We love Peachy Keens!'

On Friday, we had Chinese day and made some spring rolls.  We also did some still life sketches and watercolour paintings of a selection of fruit and veg.

It was such a great week - full of tastes from around the world.

Here are some of the finished pieces.  What do you think?
